It will take an hour and 16 minutes to get you from Disney World to the Kennedy Space Center.

  • Starting at Disney World, you will get on I-4 E from World Dr and Epcot Center Dr.
  • After cruising along I-4 E for about 13 minutes and 8.9 miles, you’ll take FL-528 E to FL-407 N in Brevard County via exit 37 on FL-528 E. 

    This section covers roughly 42.2 miles in 39 minutes.

  • Finally, you’ll continue on FL-407 N for a comfortable 19 minutes and 15.1 miles, leading you directly to your destination: the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

Please note: There might be tolls along the way, so be prepared with the appropriate payment method.  

Also, enjoy the drive, but remember to stay alert and follow all traffic regulations !

While driving your own vehicle is preferable, you can also consider affordable car rentals.

In either case, arriving at the Kennedy Space Center on time is best. Leaving 90 minutes before the space center opens (9 am) is ideal.

In the Downtown Disney Hilton, you can rent a car on-site at the Avis desk, Dolphin Hotel, Car Care Center, and Wyndham Double Tree. 

There are additional venues available on-site as well. 

Just keep in mind that some rental desks close early, so you’ll need to either return by that time or pay for more rental time to return your car the next day.

The parking fee will be $10/day, and you must pay toll roads while deciding which route is best for you.

Mears shuttles provide roundtrip transportation to the Kennedy Space Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a fee of $36 per person.

There are two routes. The first uses Lynx Central Florida Transport’s line 104, which takes you directly to the UCF campus with a travel time of under two hours. 

However, a quick taxi ride might be necessary to reach the Kennedy Space Center itself. 

Alternatively, the line 08 bus offers a more scenic route, ending near Cocoa Beach. 

From there, you can ride a shuttle to the Kennedy Space Center.  

While this option takes about three and a half hours, it provides a chance to stretch your legs and explore the charming Cocoa Beach area.
