How to Get to Kennedy Space Center

The Space Coast Area Transit Authority (SCAT) offers bus service to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex from several locations in the Orlando area. 

SCAT Route 1 provides direct service to the Visitor Complex from Orlando International Airport.

If you don’t want the hassle of searching for bus stops, you can purchase your bus ticket in advance and even enjoy direct entry to the visitor complex.

If you want to travel on your own, remember that there’s no direct public transportation to Kennedy Space Center, but there are bus stops near it.

Bus lines near it are 11,111 and 436S.

You must take a bus from the Orlando bus station and stop at GreyHound or Titusville station.

You can take a taxi to the space center from there.

Driving to Kennedy Space Center is the best and most convenient option for visitors, as public transport is not easily accessible there.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is at 4422 Space Commerce Way, Titusville, FL 32190. 

From Orlando, take Interstate 95 east to Exit 258. Follow signs for State Road 528 east for approximately 50 miles. 

Turn right onto Space Commerce Way. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is located on the left.

Important: The center’s entrance is on Space Commerce Way, and the visitor complex is 1.2 miles (1.9 km).

How to Get to Kennedy Space Center from Coco Beach

Distance: 19.4 miles (31 km)

Duration: 26 minutes

Travel north on A1A to State Road (SR) 528 West, and then take exit #49 for SR 3.

After taking a right for SR3, continue north for 8 miles (13 km) and turn left onto the Space Commerce Way.

Travel this way for 1.5 miles (2.4 km); you will find Kennedy Space Center on your right.

How to Get to Kennedy Space Center from Orlando

Distance: 60.4 miles (97 km)

Duration: 51 minutes

Get on SR 50 on the east side for approximately 50 miles (80 km) and pass the I-95.

Then, turn right at the intersection onto SR 405 and follow the signs for 10 miles (16 km).

After this, enter Space Commerce Way and go straight for 1.2 miles (2 km), and you will find the space center to your left.

How to Get to Kennedy Space Center from Daytona Beach

Distance: 63.7 miles (102 km)

Duration: one hour and seven minutes

Travel to I-95 to exit #215, then take a left onto Highway 50.

Then, take a right to enter SR 405 and continue straight by following the signs for 10 miles (16 km).

Then turn right onto the Space Commerce Way and continue on the path for 1.2 miles ( 2 km).

After this, you will find the Kennedy Space Center entrance on your left.

How to Get to Kennedy Space Center from Miami

Distance: 216 miles (347 km)

Duration: 3 hours and 14 minutes

Travel I-95 North to exit #212 SR407, turn right onto SR 407, and continue till you turn right onto SR 405.

Keep following the signs for approximately 7.5 miles (12 km), then turn right for Space Commerce Way.

Go on the route for 1.2 miles (2km), after which you will find the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex on your left.

Kennedy Space Center Parking

Due to its location, there are no parking spaces around the space center.

Thus, visitors should park within the premises of the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex.

The complex has a parking lot accommodating automobiles, motorcycles and even bigger vehicles like an RVT.

The parking entrance fee is collected at the gate when you enter the area.

The car park is open from 9 am to 5 pm and is functional 24 hours a day, including weekends.
